My background
Oi, tudo bom? I’m Flor, a multimedia journalist with a passion for social justice and creative storytelling. Born in Belgium and raised in Brazil, I spent my childhood traveling with my nomadic family through the Amazon rivers and camping on beaches. My parents taught me to value adventure over convention, and that spirit shapes my work to this day.
I’m especially interested in disseminating underrepresented voices and starting meaningful conversations. After studying Multimedia Journalism and Communication at the European Communication School, I completed my Master’s in Social Justice Journalism at the University of the Arts London. There, I learned about the type of journalism that challenges mainstream narratives in the search of honest and impactful stories - often neglected from the media agenda.
My work mixes journalism with creativity: I specialise in creating bite-sized videos under a minute. Think breaking down politics, culture, or internet trends for young audiences. I have a love for photography, video editing and a soft spot for design, which comes from leading and working on student magazines.
I’m always curious about new places, cultures, and perspectives, and I try to bring that curiosity into everything I do. If you’re up for collaborating, sharing your story, or just chatting about life and this crazy-about-to-explode-but-beautifully-chaotic world, drop me a line.
